Grab a cup o’ joe or large ice water – whatever suits your fancy… I have an epic post here! Meet Erik & Claire – a sweet, down to earth pair. ; )

Claire has been one of my dearest friends since grade school, and I was beyond excited (and touched) when she asked me to shoot her and Erik’s wedding in Lake George, NY this summer. Claire and her twin brother, Nick, have vacationed in Lake George every summer since they were young, and I can see now why they treasure it so much. This lake is SO pristine. And the 75-degree weather was absolutely perfect (a welcome change to the hot, muggy summer days here in Georgia).
The couple was married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the celebration afterward was held at The Inn at Erlowest, which is a gorgeous stone castle situated right on the lake. Let me note that I have tons of dancing photos because this crowd was bumpin’!… so many bodies on the dance floor throughout the night. Love it. Congratulations you two – it was a blast! : )

Claire’s makeup artist brought with her a plethora of brushes and utensils. I was pretty much in awe…

Claire’s bridesmaids put together a scrapbook of her and Erik’s relationship – so cute.

You’re such a beauty, Claire. : )

Meet the honorary ring bearer – Claire’s great aunt’s stuffed bear that she’s had for 70+ years…!

Erik looked quite handsome!

I loved the retro cake topper! Claire borrowed it from within the family…

The wedding party got its groove on while being announced…

I had to give a shout out to my hometown friends… beautiful people. : )

Claire and Erik decorated the tables with young photos of them. Adorable.

A little bit softer now…

Lots of PSU alums at this celebration!

What is better than doing the thing you love most (yes, photographing!) with some of your most favorite people in the world? I can’t think of many things…
I traveled up to Lake George, New York at the end of June to shoot my longtime friend Claire’s wedding. In my mind, this first picture encapsulates the feeling of Lake George: so peaceful, serene, lovely.

The day before their wedding, Claire and Erik (and the crew!) rehearsed at Sacred Heart Catholic and then dined at a family-owned lake house. I was so excited to finally visit the place where Claire and her twin brother, Nick, always talked about growing up. The town was so charming, and I loved all the awesome views. Stay tuned for Claire and Erik’s wedding day!

I always LOVED Claire’s laugh. I can almost hear it through the second photo!

Erik and his brother donned some colorful pants for the occasion. : )

Two of my oldest (and loveliest) friends in love:

I have the privilege of shooting this girl’s wedding this fall… I LOVE her bling and just have always loved her personal style:

Claire and Nick’s Nana is so spunky!

I always (sneakily) try to make it into my friend’s photos…!

Meet the STANIMAL!

Those shades are almost too hot to handle. Ah-mazing!

It’s tradition to jump off the top deck of the dock…

…I was told the water was pretty chilly and Nick’s blue-ish body here confirms it.

One of my really good childhood friends, Claire, got married in New York last month, and I had the privilege of documenting her and Erik’s wedding weekend. I’m super excited to share their photos… But for now, a fun bachelorette night shot. Go ahead, SINGLE lady! ; )

Lacy and Michael were married on yet another scorching day in June at the beautiful Thompson House and Gardens in Bogart, Georgia. One of my faves of the gorgeous couple. : )

You may remember my fall engagement shoot with Lacy + Michael, when we had some fun with the “cast & hook” pose. If you don’t, let me refresh your memory. Michael’s a big fisherman, so they incorporated some really fun details at the wedding. And this crowd was ROCKIN’, especially at the reception. Look out for the air guitars and lip syncing. So amazing.
And I just have to give a shout out to the coordinators of the wedding – Jessi from On Guest, specifically. Not only is The Thompson House and Gardens a dream place for photographers to shoot, the coordination was immaculate. Jessi was super helpful throughout the day and made sure everything went down without a hitch. Now on to some of my favorites!

Helping the flower girl get dressed – so precious!

Michael got Lacy THE sweetest wedding gift. He bought her a Flip video camera and recorded a message from their new house that they just moved into together. Super thoughtful – you go Michael!

Lacy had this photo of her late grandfather pinned on her bouquet so he could be with her throughout the day. : )

One of my favorite groomsmen shots to date! You guys rock.

Lacy requested a shot of the bridal party in the road. Laney, Lacy’s niece, was quite hesitant about stepping out into oncoming traffic. So cute – her mother taught her well!

The DJ had different tables stand up and sing to Lacy and Michael for their chance at hitting the buffet next…

This little dude was less than two days old. Props to the parents for making it to the wedding!

The DJ played Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi as guests came up and bombarded the couple at their sweetheart table for the perfect photo op. Fun!

This couple won the anniversary dance and really got the dance floor going with the conga line!

One of my favorite reception shots to date. These guys were SO into it!!! Love it.

Meet Mike & Melanie and their two adorable twin boys Conner and Luke. Oh how I LOVE this family; they are very near and dear to my heart. Growing up, Melanie’s family was like my second family (and still is!). I did a mini-session with the boys when they were five weeks old and at the time of this shoot they were just short of one year old. I know it’s cliché to say, but I can’t believe how time has flown by! I hope to photograph these precious boys for many years to come. What a beautiful family! : )
